Charlie Rich was an amazing singer. He recorded various styles over his career, making it the biggest with his country hits in the 1970s. Near the end of his career, he recorded this album, considered by many critics as his masterpiece. It’s really more of a jazz record, as he covers several standards such as “Mood Indigo,” “Am I Blue?” and “You Don’t Know Me.” The finale on the record, which proved to by his last (he died three years after its release), was the extraordinarily moving, “Feel Like Going Home.”
