88. Emmylou Harris—QUARTER MOON IN A TEN CENT TOWN

I could easy have chosen any number of the Emmylou’s 1970s albums here. This is, like many others, is full of great songs that display Emmylou’s genius in song selection. Some favorites include “Easy From Now On,” “Two More Bottles of Wine,” “To Daddy,” and “My Songbird.” What probably sets this album apart is the gorgeous cover of Jesse Winchester’s “Defying Gravity.”
